CVAA’s annual meeting honors community individuals, Dr. Bob Arnot to speak

Dr. Bob Arnot will be the keynote speaker at CVAA’s Annual Meeting on October 28 at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington. The annual meeting will begin at 3pm, Dr. Arnot will speak at 4pm. Arnot is a TV Emmy Award-winning medical correspondent formally from CBS This Morning, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, Dateline NBC, and the Today Show; he is now a regular on the Discovery Channel. As a medical correspondent, he covered groundbreaking epidemics around the world including the AIDS crisis and Ebola. In addition, Arnot is a NY Times Best Selling Author with 12 books including “The Aztec Diet", "Breast Cancer Prevention", "Turning Back the Clock", and "Beat Wear and Tear". Currently Arnot is working on a new book, "Never Surrender”

For 40 years, CVAA has been dedicated to helping seniors remain independent and helping families deal with the issues of aging. CVAA looks forward to sharing its vision of the next 40 years of CVAA’s role in senior services.

CVAA will honor community partners and individuals who have had a huge impact on seniors in the Champlain Valley and who have supported the agency’s mission. CVAA will honor the United Way of Chittenden County Volunteer Center, Jamie Bissonette, TLC Nursing Associates, Anne Bower, Tanya Snyder and Maya Pokhrel.

CVAA is a non-profit organization that empowers seniors to live well. CVAA works with seniors and caregivers, offering guidance and providing the support and services they need, when they need them. With the help of community partners and volunteers, CVAA serves over 10,000 seniors. Established in 1974, CVAA is known as the resource for seniors in the Champlain Valley (Addison, Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle Counties).
