Two attorneys have recently joined the northern New England law firm of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. Daniel Crisp has joined the Business Law and Energy and Telecommunications Practice Groups. He will practice as an associate in the St. Johnsbury office. Danielle Changala also joins DRM as an associate in the Energy and Telecommunications Practice Group. She will practice in the firm’s Burlington office.

Crisp joins DRM with experience as a senior compliance specialist for The Hartford where he managed efforts to implement policies and procedures to impact group life and health insurance products. He also served as a subject matter expert on federal health care reform, business process outsourcing and tax law, and acted as a regulatory filing coordinator. Prior to his work at The Hartford, Crisp gained experience in the litigation, regulatory and intellectual property practices as an associate at Jorden Burt LLP in Simsbury, Conn.. He graduated cum laude in 2008 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
Changala is part of the newly graduated Vermont Law School class of 2013 where she served as managing and staff editor of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law from 2011 to 2013, research assistant for the Institute for Energy & the Environment from 2009 to 2013, and teaching assistant for Environmentalism in America in the spring of 2013. While at VLS Changala interned with the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in Boston and worked as a law clerk with Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger in San Francisco and the Conservation Law Foundation in Boston.
