Carris Reels CEO to retire

As 2020 comes to an end, so will 41 years of leadership and broad industry involvement by current Carris Reels CEO/President Dave Ferraro. Joining the Carris team in 1979 in a sales capacity, Dave covered the northeast US. He was named Sales Director in 1986, Vice President of Sales in 2000 and President/CEO in 2014. Headquartered and established in Vermont, the Carris Reels geographical footprint has expanded to (3) locations in Canada, (7) locations in the United States, and (1) in Mexico and over one million sq ft under roof. Carris is 100% employee-owned and Ferraro says – “a great way to run a company when everyone is striving for the same goal – taking care of the customer”. During his years in the industry, Dave has served on boards and committees of Wire and Cable Manufacturers Alliance, as well as the Wire Association, and was a recipient of the WCMA distinguished career award. He will continue to occupy a seat on the Carris Board of Directors, where his 41 years of industry knowledge will serve as an invaluable asset.

For the past 2 ½ years Dave has been working with his successor Alberto Aguilar who has been with the company for 21 years. Alberto opened a new plastics plant for Carris Reels in Monterrey, Mexico in 1999 which he managed and grew for the next 12 years before relocating to the Proctor, VT headquarters. A graduate of Monterrey Institute of Technology, he was named VP Manufacturing of the plywood and plastics divisions and joined the executive management team in 2013. “Alberto’s proven people, language, management and execution skills are remarkable and will serve to bring this great company to the next level.
