Bill Orleans, owner of PP&D Brochure Distribution of Burlington, VT, and President of the International Association of Professional Brochure Distributors presided over this years annual meeting in Annecy, France. The conference was hosted by Touring Info Services of France.
Attendees included members from The United States, Canada, Mexico, France, Belgium, Ireland, and England. Discussion topics included the latest research on the effectiveness on brochure distribution, our website, podcasts and brochure design tips. Members also provided yearly reviews and new projects.
The IAPBD is an international group of experienced, professional brochure distribution companies whose focus is the tourism industry. Members share common interests in the practices, procedures and problems unique to the industry, and are guided by a common code of ethics.
Member organizations distribute more then two hundred and fifty million brochures annually in over thirty thousand locations for more the seven thousand clients.
PP&D Brochure Distribution, founded by Orleans in 1981, is located in Burlington and has a staff of eight. Last year PP&D delivered over a million brochures to a thousand locations in Vermont, New York and New Hampshire, including 763 exclusive PP&D displays.
Current brochure clients include: Vermont Attraction’s State Map, The Church Street Marketplace, Echo Science Center, Billings Farm, Vermont Marble, Stowe Mountain Resort, Ben and Jerry’s, Magic Hat, Shelburne Museum, Farm-Way, Vermont Country Store, and Fairbanks Museum.
PP&D also distributes magazines including: Seven Nights Dining Guide, Burlington Magazine, The Burlington Free Press Real-Estate Extra, Homes and Land, and Vermont Ski and Ride.
Bill Orleans graduated from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont and has resided in Queen City Park, South Burlington for over 25 years.
