Amey Ryan, owner of IPJ Real Estate in Middlebury, has been named 2023 Good Neighbor by the Vermont Association of Realtors. The award is presented annually to an individual who has made “an extraordinary impact” on her community through volunteer work.
Ryan's volunteer work has included playing Mrs. Claus at the Very Merry Middlebury celebration and raising more than $10,000 to provide meals to health care workers during holiday shifts at the local hospital and nursing home. She has also helped organize a community-wide clothing swap to support WomenSafe as well as the Derby Day party for the Porter Hospital Auxiliary.
“Amey is the epitome of the Realtor brand through her commitment to community, to her clients and to her profession,” said VAR Chief Executive Kathy Sweeten.
Ryan will be recognized and honored for her achievements at the VAR annual meeting Nov. 1-2 at the Lodge at Spruce Peak in Stowe.
