Barb Watters (pictured), an agent at Ashe Insurance in Essex, was named Member of the Year by the Vermont Association of Insurance Professionals. She was recognized Nov. 13 at the annual Commissioner's Night event held by the VTAIP and the Champlain Valley Association of Insurance Professionals.
Co-workers and colleagues praised Watters for the trust she instills in her clients and for her dedication to the industry and the association.
Also during the evening, Kelli-Jo Cloutier, controller at Co-operative Insurance Cos. in Middlebury and president of the Champlain Valley AIP, was presented with the Pat Murray Education Scholarship, which she will use to continue her IAIP designation courses.
