Randy Farmer, former chief operating office at the Delaware Health Information Network in Dover, Delaware, has joined Vermont's nonprofit health information exchange, VITL, as president and CEO.
In his new role, Farmer will drive VITL’s vision of a single patient record for every Vermonter, which will deliver health care providers secure access to the information they need to support high-quality, coordinated and more affordable health care. He will also lead VITL’s strategic initiatives to advance interoperability, expand analytics and support the state’s health reform goals.
“The VITL board is excited to welcome Randy as VITL’s next president and CEO,” said board chair Emma Harrigan. “Randy’s proven leadership will make VITL’s one health record for every Vermonter even more comprehensive, accessible, and powerful.”
