Stowe Mountain Resort, a Vail Resorts destination, has named Mike Giorgio as its new general manager, effective Nov. 18. Giorgio brings decades of experience in the hospitality and resort industry and a proven track record of leadership within the Vail Resorts portfolio.
Giorgio most recently served as regional general manager for six Vail properties in the Midwest, including Mt Brighton, Mad River, Paoli Peaks and Boston Mills/Brandywine/Alpine Valley. He began his career with Vail Resorts in 2011 as executive chef at Mount Snow in Vermont.
"Mike's extensive hospitality experience and recent success overseeing our Midwest resorts make him the ideal candidate to lead Stowe Mountain Resort," said Tim Baker, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Vail's Eastern Region Mountain Division. "His leadership will undoubtedly benefit our guests, employees and the local community."
