Outright Vermont Executive Director Announces Departure, for Australia

Outright Vermont announced this week that current Executive Director Christopher Neff will be leaving his position on January 1st to pursue a doctoral program in public policy at the University of Sydney in Australia.
Outright Board Chair Claire Giroux-Williams stated "While I (and all of the Board) will hate to see Chris go, we are excited for him to have these amazing opportunities, and know he will always be an important member of the Outright Family."
Neff has served as Executive Director of Outright for two years during which Outright Vermont has increased its youth presence across the state and grown its budget by fifty percent. Outright has also added new youth programming including the Gendertopia after-school program with the Burlington School District, Gender and Java outreach program to youth centers statewide and the Queer Shuttle transit program for rural youth support.
Neff added, "Outright's youth, staff, Board and financials are great shape and I know this will continue in the future. I plan on continuing to be a major donor. I will only add, that this is all very bittersweet. I am going to miss the great youth, staff, Board and allies that have made this such a great experience for me."
Neff will continue as an advisor for Outright through the end of February. Day-to-day operations will be managed by current Operations Director Michel DuBois who will serve as Interim Executive Director during the search process.
