Nottermann joins Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund as communications manager

The Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF) recently hired Kelly Nottermann, of Hardwick, VT, as the new communications manager for the organization. VSJF is a nonprofit organization focused on sustainable economic development in the agriculture and food system, forest product, waste management, renewable energy and environmental technology sectors.

VSJF helps Vermont companies create and retain jobs, reach new markets with their products and services, and plan for the future. Nottermann will be responsible for marketing communications, public relations and social media strategy for VSJF programs, including Vermont Farm to Plate, the Vermont Forest Products Program, VSJF’s business climate economy accelerator, Accel-VT, and its other business assistance services.

“I’m looking forward to working for an organization where I truly believe in their mission,” said Nottermann. “My hope is to further amplify the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund brand and programs through storytelling and fresh social and video content.”

She joins VSJF with a rich background in journalism, public relations and marketing. She most recently worked as the senior social content strategist at Gelia, a global marketing communications agency with headquarters in Buffalo, NY. While there, she developed and executed a suite of social media offerings for the agency’s clients. She has held various marketing, writing and social media positions in Vermont and New York for companies including the Hardwick Gazette, the Williston Observer, JapanLink Translations, Data Innovations, and Quinlan & Company.

“We are so excited to welcome Kelly to our team. Not only does she have a breadth of experience in marketing and communications, but she also has a deep knowledge of the economic sectors we support, especially agriculture and forest products,” said Ellen Kahler, executive director at VSJF. “Kelly will not only be a real asset to VSJF, but will be able to assist many of the organizations and businesses that we work with, helping them to improve their marketing know-how as well.”
