John Mullett, former vice president and general manager at Vox Radio Group, has been named director of community relations at National Life Group. This position, which is focused on community and employee engagement, includes taking on the role of executive director of the National Life Group Foundation as well as leading Do Good Fest, National Life’s annual benefit music festival.
At Vox Radio, Mullett directed budget management, marketing, community relations, recruiting, building talent and more. Prior to his position at Box, he worked in Boston radio, serving as a marketing director and music director.
Though new to his role at National Life, Mullett, in recent years, has been instrumental in the Vermont Do Good Fest operation, securing talent, negotiating contracts and managing key aspects of the day-of festival production.
“We were already familiar with John’s good work as a key partner in the success of Do Good Fest,” said Beth Rusnock, head of corporate communications and community relations. “Having him officially join our team will only further National Life’s commitment to doing good in our communities.”
