Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) announces that Michael Scott has joined the firm as a Structural Engineer in the Transportation Engineering group.
Mr. Scott will work to further enhance the firm’s growing Vermont office, providing a variety of services for bridge design, structural analysis and dynamics, foundation engineering, and concrete design. He is currently working on several bridge projects for the Vermont Agency of Transportation, including bridges in Rochester and New Haven, as well as a project for Vermont Railway in Rockingham.
Mr. Scott received his bachelors of science in civil engineering from the University of Vermont in 2010, and his master’s of science in civil engineering, with a focus on structures, from Northeastern University in 2012. During his college years, Mr. Scott spent summers working as an assistant engineer with the Vermont Agency of Transportation, where he assisted with construction inspections, cost calculations and project plan review. He brings a wealth of engineering and field experience to his new role at VHB.
Mr. Scott is from Poultney and now resides in Burlington, where he enjoys running, camping, snowboarding, traveling and maple sugaring.
