Since it was founded in 1990, MBA HealthGroup has been a female owned company providing consulting and revenue cycle management services to healthcare organizations. As the world of healthcare changes around us, MBA HealthGroup has adapted and grown with a new focus on healthcare information technology. Ethan Bechtel and Nate Bechtel, both under-30 entrepreneurs and sons to MBA HealthGroup’s founder, Sandy Bechtel, have taken leadership positions in the company. As of November 2nd, 2012 Ethan has been named CEO and Nate will be assuming the role of President.
Ethan started working at MBA HealthGroup in 2004 after graduating from the University of Vermont’s School of Business Administration. When he was hired, his objective was to grow the twenty employee company. There were challenges inherent to being the son of the owner, but through new marketing efforts, strategic initiatives and relationships, MBA experienced significant growth. Three years later, with 50 plus employees, Ethan was promoted to Chief Operating Officer with a focus on building new relationships and expanding MBA’s geographic reach. In this role, Ethan and his team of consultants began working with three of the ten largest hospitals in the country to implement electronic health record software. He developed new lines of service revolving around the implementation of health information technology, and grew the company to nearly 100 employees. On November 2nd 2012 Ethan was promoted to the CEO of MBA HealthGroup at a companywide event held at Main Street Landing in Burlington, VT.
Nate has worked at MBA HealthGroup off and on since he was 6 years old. He is the only employee in the history of MBA to work in every single department. In 2008, after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University, Nate was brought on as the Director of Finance. His experience in the corporate finance divisions of companies like John Hancock and Reed Elsevier, made him the perfect person to manage and restructure the accounting and finance division of the company. Nate has designed and managed the scalable financial systems and accounting processes that allows MBA to carefully oversee its rapidly growing business. In 2010, he managed the adoption of a new EHR product that is now used by various clients across 5 states on the east coast. On November 2nd 2012 Nate was promoted to the President of MBA HealthGroup at a companywide event held at Main Street Landing in Burlington,VT.
