The Lake Champlain Chamber has hired two new staff members, Hannah King and Tom Remp, to further the organization's mission of providing economic opportunity for all Vermonters.
King, who most recently served as finance director of Becca Balint's successful bid for Congress, has been named the chamber's new director of communications and business development. She studied at the University of Vermont and lives in Burlington, where she serves on the Ward 8 Neighborhood Planning Assembly Steering Committee and the city's Community Development Block Grant Advisory Board.
Remp, former library communications manager at Dartmouth College, joins the chamber as social media and content manager of Hello Burlington, a division of the chamber that serves as the destination marketing initiative for Greater Burlington. Originally from Scotland, Remp is an accomplished photographer who previously worked documenting social, environmental and postconflict issues in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. He is a graduate of Franklin Pierce University and holds an MFA in creative writing from Fairfield University.
