Karianne Scott joins VtSBDC as NEK business adviser

Karianne Scott, former accredited adviser in insurance at the Noyle-Johnson Group in Montpelier, has joined the Vermont Small Business Development Center as business adviser for Orleans, Essex and Caledonia counties in the Northeast Kingdom. In her new role, Scott provides confidential, no-fee guidance to small-business owners at any stage of their business, from startup through transition.

“Karianne is a wonderful addition to our statewide team of advisers,” said Linda Rossi, state director of the Vermont Small Business Development Center. “Her diverse, in-depth business experience, her roots in the community and her commitment to the state of Vermont are great enhancements to our organization and to entrepreneurs in the Northeast Kingdom.”

Scott is a psychology graduate of Lyndon State College and attended a master’s program at Springfield College. She is a member of her local school board.

“Thriving communities are the product of small businesses building alliances and offering exciting opportunities to its residents,” said Scott. “Supporting a small business through hands-on assistance and offering best-practice resources in many disciplines, including financial and digital literacy, will ultimately enhance our everyday lives here in the Northeast Kingdom.”
