Employee of Shadow Productions opens Minnesota Branch

Shadow Productions has announced the opening of a new Minnesota location. Alex Ball, a longtime employee of Shadow Productions, Vermont, is now running Shadow Productions, Minnesota. “Shadow Productions has always pushed the barriers of Internet technology, so this was just one more step in that process,” said Ball.
Matt Dugan, president of the multimedia marketing company, said, “Alex made the move for family reasons—his wife, Dr. Bobbi Pritt, took a position with the Mayo Clinic-- but Alex’s work was very well regarded, our clients loved him, and when you have a great employee in this Internet age, there’s no good reason to lose him. So, we kept him.”
For Ball, it’s been the best of both worlds. Ball said, “I work for Minnesota clients, and send business back to Vermont, but I’m also still servicing Shadow, Vermont’s clients on a weekly basis thanks to the wonders of FTP (File Transfer Protocol). We regularly trade large media files of images, video, audio, music via the web, and it allows us to work as if we were in the next office.”
Dugan said, “The proper delivery of movies, music, audio and video over the web is a big part of what we do for our clients. So, for us, working with a multimedia producer in a remote office was another way to learn some things and stay ahead of the curve.”
Ball said, “Rochester is a lot like Burlington. Burlington has IBM, the university and the Hospital. Rochester has IBM and the Mayo Clinic. There are a lot of businesses here looking for ways to get the word out about their services. At the same time, most of the production services are located in large--and very expensive--cities. Burlington has Boston and New York. Rochester has the Twin Cities. That’s where the Shadow Approach comes in. Providing first-class radio, TV and web marketing materials at Vermont prices is a perfect fit out here.”
