Danielle Gallen joins United Counseling as director of human resources

United Counseling Service, a private, nonprofit community mental health center serving Bennington County, has appointed Danielle Gallen as its new director of human resources. She succeeds outgoing director Leslie Addison, who will retire in December.

Gallen has held HR leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, most recently running her own consulting firm. She specializes in conflict resolution; employee relations; and diversity, equity, access and inclusion. Gallen is a graduate of Florida State University and holds a law degree from UC Hastings Law in San Francisco.

“Danielle is a great addition to our team,” said UCS Executive Director Lorna Mattern. “With her broad human resources skillset, we are looking forward to having her build upon the solid HR foundation we have in place.”

“I am thrilled to be bringing my experience to UCS,” Gallen said. “I look forward to being part of the amazing culture of this organization and sharing my knowledge as we grow into the future.”
