The Community College of Vermont is pleased to announce that Stephen R. C. Vantine of Montpelier has joined the College’s staff as the director of business operations. In his new position, Vantine will lead the business and financial activities for the College. He will be based out of CCV’s Montpelier administrative offices but will work directly on business matters involving all twelve of the College’s physical locations as well as its Center for Online Learning. Vantine will serve as an advisor to senior management and will play a key role in providing strategic direction, fiscal integrity and leadership for the financial resource management of CCV.
Vantine’s past positions have included accounting manager and plant controller at Ben and Jerry’s, controller of Northern Power Systems, financial manager at Bombardier, and manager of financial and business services at Goddard College. Most recently, Vantine was with the State of Vermont where he held positions in the Dept. of Finance and Management and Agency of Natural Resources. His most current position was in the Office of the State Auditor where he served as audit manager.
CCV is Vermont’s second largest college, serving over 7,000 students each semester.
