Burlington sailor supports US Navy in Naples, Italy

Lt Cmdr Amy Rogers is responsible for providing medical guidance to protect the health of sailors through public health measures. Rogers graduated from Essex High School in 2001 and University of Vermont in 2005. During Rogers' eight years in the Navy, career milestones included Preventive Medicine Officer of the Year and being the officer in charge of a forward deployed preventive medicine unit . As a member of US Naval Forces Europe and Africa US 6th Fleet, Rogers and others in the Navy know they are part of a legacy that will last beyond their lifetimes, one that will provide a critical component of the Navy the nation needs. US 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, in order to advance US national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
