Dr. Ernest Bove, medical director at Marble Valley Urology, has helped Rutland Regional Medical Center achieve designation as a UroLift Center of Excellence for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly known as an enlarged prostate. Rutland Regional is the only hospital in Vermont to have achieved this distinction.
Bove is a board-certified urologist who has been a practicing physician for over 40 years, most of that in Rutland. He has achieved a higher level of training with the UroLift System, which provides a proven treatment that can get men off BPH medications and avoid major surgery.
“This procedure has many benefits, especially for younger men,” Bove said. “Studies have shown this to be a safe and effective treatment in men aged 45 years and older. The procedure provides rapid symptom relief and preserves sexual function.”
