The 2014 recipient of the New England Excess Exchange Vermont IAIP Member of the year award is Barb Watters. Watters joined CVAIP in 2007 as President-Elect. This leap into action is indicative of her drive to get involved, mentor, lead and succeed. She continued this momentum as CVAIP President, Vermont Council Director and Regional Conference Co-Chair.
As one member stated “She spearheaded the idea of holding the 2014 Regional Conference in Vermont. Her willingness to step forward and encourage her fellow members to host the conference showed such devotion to not only our local organizations, but also IAIP as a whole. Her unwavering persistence really encouraged many of us to become involved in the process”. Another stated, “She is not only the “face” of IAIP but she also works tirelessly behind the scenes. Her steadfast contributions are inspirational”. She is also one of Vermont’s top auctioneers – most recently donating both her time and energy to raise thousands of dollars for the United Way.
