Williston Remodeler Mike Gervais has been appointed to the State and Local Government Affairs Committee and the Environmental Issues Committee of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Gervais is president of Prime Renovation Group and DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen of Northern Vermont.
The State and Local Government Affairs Committee works closely with NAHB’s 800 affiliated state and local home builder associations to advocate for the residential construction industry. The committee oversees NAHB’s efforts to give state and local government officials and other stakeholders the building industry’s perspective on a wide range of regulatory issues related to land development, insurance, taxes and fees and other concerns.
The Environmental Issues Committee monitors and analyzes environmental issues affecting the home building industry, particularly those that arise when converting raw land into finished lots.
Gervais’ company, Prime Renovation Group, is a remodeling and renovation company operating throughout Northwestern Vermont. Gervais, has earned the NAHB designations of Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS). Gervais has served as President of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern Vermont and been named Remodeler of the Year three times.
The National Association of Home Builders is a Washington-based trade association representing more than 200,000 members involved in home building, remodeling, multifamily construction, property management, subcontracting, design, housing finance, building product manufacturing and other aspects of residential and light commercial construction. NAHB's builder members construct more than 80 percent of the new housing units built each year.
