Emily Bowers, former deputy manager of the Charity Clark for Attorney General campaign, has joined the Vermont Democratic Party as director of communications. In her new role, Bowers is responsible for the party's overall branding, forward-facing communications and coordinated campaign messaging.
“Emily comes to us with a broad complement of expertise in communications strategy across all platforms, campaign management and event planning,” said VDP chair Anne Lezak. “We couldn’t be more pleased to bring someone with Emily’s skills, experience and enthusiasm into the key role of VDP communications director.”
Bowers moved to Vermont from Florida, where she was a field organizer for Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign. She graduated from the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg with a bachelor's degree in journalism and digital communications.
“I am thrilled to be working with the party as the communications director, and I look forward to working alongside a fantastic team,” Bowers said.
