Vermont Aging Network Consortium hires new senior leader

Cheryl Gilbert

Cheryl Gilbert, former director of finance, grants and contracts at the Regulatory Assistance Project in Montpelier, has been named chief operating officer and chief financial officer at the Vermont Aging Network Consortium, an affiliation of all five area agencies on aging in Vermont.

As the new senior leader of this not-for-profit entity, Gilbert will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of VANC. She will also advance new shared services initiatives to positively impact the overall cost of health care by leveraging economies of scale, combining resources and reducing duplication within the community-provider network of home- and community-based services.

“Our recent network affiliation as AAAs through the VANC, will ensure we are prudent financial stewards for our future,” said the consortium's board president, Susan Gordon. “The appointment of Cheryl Gilbert as the new leader of our network consortium is a wonderful step forward as we set the stage for future success.”
