Two Vermonters to participate in higher education leadership program

Pelin Kohn, chair of the leadership program and founding director of the Center for Leadership at Norwich University, and Caylin McCamp, sustainable projects manager in the Office of Sustainability at the University of Vermont, will be among 60 higher education leaders to attend the HERS Leadership Institute in June on the campus of Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. HERS is an acronym for Higher Education Resources Services.

The institute was founded to fill leadership pipelines across the United States with dynamic women capable of ushering their respective institutions into a more inclusive and equitable future. During the program, participants share their vision of leadership and what they hope to contribute to their respective institutions and are then challenged to develop the skills to actualize their professional vision.

Alumnae of the institute emerge better skilled and more confident in leading with their unique voice, providing a much-needed infusion of bold new leadership to their respective institutions.
