Sam Allaire named chief nursing officer at Copley Hospital

Sam Allaire

Sam Allaire, nursing education program manager at Copley Hospital, has been promoted to the role of chief nursing officer at the nonprofit community hospital, which serves Greater Lamoille County.

In her new role, Allaire is focused on supporting Copley’s nursing and clinical staff. She is engaged in regular process review to ensure her team has what it needs to optimize the time they spend with patients at the bedside. In addition, Allaire wants to build systems of support to help nursing staff grow in their careers.

On any given day, Allaire is eager for opportunities to keep her hands in the mix, and she fills in where she’s needed. “I became a nurse for a reason,” she said, “and I never want to be too far away from the day-to-day activities of taking care of people.”
