Central Vermont Women’s Health, a Central Vermont Medical Center group, recently welcomed Rebecca Montgomery, CNM, MSN to their practice.
Rebecca has a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a concentration in Nurse-Midwifery (CNM) from Yale University School of Nursing in New Haven, Connecticut. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Vermont where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
“Rebecca brings her midwifery skills and perspective to our existing group of OB/GYN doctors,” stated Tarr. “This is a particularly exciting time to welcome a midwife as the practice moves to an integrative care model.”
Most recently Rebecca was employed by Planned Parenthood of New England in their Waterbury and Williston locations. She is also an adjunct assistant professor at UVM in the Department of Nursing.
“I plan to focus on prenatal care and helping women prepare for childbirth. Pregnancy is one of the most exciting yet challenging times in a woman’s life” noted Rebecca. “It is an honor to care for women and their families at this time,” she concluded. Rebecca is also available to women for their annual exams.
Born in England, but raised mainly in the United States, Rebecca still travels to England to visit her mother and other family who live there. England is where she first learned about midwifery.
Rebecca enjoys running and cross country skiing with her dog Emma, a black labradoodle. She is training to run a half marathon in The KeyBank Vermont City Marathon & Relay. Rebecca also alpine skis and likes to read.
