PGA Professional Eric Evans has been promoted to the position of Head Golf Professional and Manager at Tater Hill Golf Club, in Windham, Vt. Formerly assistant golf professional, Evans has been with the popular south-central Vermont golf course for five years. He also works in Okemo Mountain Resort’s Competition Center during the winter months.
“Obtaining this position with Tater Hill Golf Club is the next step for me,” said Evans. “It is the fulfillment of my hopes and dreams.”
Hailing from Plymouth, Vt., Evans grew up golfing at a nine-hole course in Ludlow called Fox Run. He started working in the cart barn there at age 16. After a major expansion under the ownership of Tim and Diane Mueller, Fox Run became an 18-hole championship golf course now called Okemo Valley Golf Club. Tater Hill, located 20 miles away, is OVGC’s sister course.
Evans studied PGA Golf Management at Campbell University in North Carolina and held the position of golf pro at Riverwood Golf and Athletic Club for two years prior to coming home to Vermont.
