Mercy Connections honors Alberghini DiPalma at annual May luncheon

Mercy Connections thanks the more than 450 community members who attended their annual May Luncheon on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont. The room was full of generous sponsors and supporters. “We are all connected in this work”, Lisa Falcone, Executive Director, acclaimed to those in the room.

This year, the Mercy Connections board of trustees honored Theresa Alberghini DiPalma, Senior Vice President for External Relations at the University of Vermont Health Network, with the Catherine McAuley Award. This high honor exemplifies compassionate service, leadership and commitment to building a just community. The award was presented by Agency of Human Services Secretary Al Gobeille. “This is the perfect honor for Theresa and a great message of hope and service,” Gobeille said.

Theresa thanked those in the room and honored the work of Mercy Connections, “Everyone is worthy at Mercy Connections. Everyone has potential with dreams to be embraced and followed. When you’re there, what comes into clear focus is what matters most in life: relationships and connections. It is not an overstatement to say that Mercy Connections transforms lives.”

Attendees heard testimonies from participants across various Mercy Connections programs. Stephanie Kossmann, Amber Monty and Isnino Mohamed shared stories about the positive influence of Mercy Connections on their lives.
