Howard Center names new senior directors, chief administrative officer

Howard Center has appointed Laura Pearce and Matt MacNeil (pictured) as co-senior directors of client services operations, quality and compliance, and elevated Bob Stetzel to chief administrative officer. The changes are part of a leadership realignment aimed at supporting the agency’s strategic priorities, officials said.

“Laura, Matt and Bob are proven leaders at Howard Center, and we’re fortunate to have them in their new positions,” said CEO Sandy McGuire. “All three have been with Howard Center for years and have a deep understanding of the needs of the agency and the people we serve.”

Pearce, who holds a master's in clinical psychology from St. Michael's College, and MacNeil,  who holds master’s from Saint Michael’s and Harvard University as well as a doctorate in education from the University of Vermont, are both licensed clinical mental health counselors. Prior to their promotions, Pearce served as director of information management and compliance, and MacNeil served as director of evaluation.

Stetzel, a graduate of Marlboro College, had served as senior director of information technology since July 2019. Prior to joining Howard Center in 2016, he worked at Northern Tool + Equipment, Vermont Teddy Bear Co. and Yankee Candle Co.
