Girls on the Run Vermont announces Kennedy and Quinn to join Board

Celebrating its 19th season of empowering Vermont girls in grades 3 – 8, Girls on the Run Vermont is pleased to announce the appointment of Erin Kennedy and Samantha Quinn to their Board of Directors. Erin Kennedy, HR Business Partner for Burton Snowboards, has been a supporter for female development and empowerment through the work she does with Burton and as a member of the Chill Foundation. She holds an MBA from Champlain College, and resides in Burlington.

Samantha (Sam) Quinn, Director of Shared Services for Keurig Green Mountain, has volunteered as Coach for several years and been a longtime supporter of the organization. Sam previously served on the Board for Spectrum Family Services. She resides in Essex.

“As a statewide organization we work to ensure our Board of Directors represents the communities we serve as well as the needs of the organizations,” says Nancy Heydinger, Executive Director and Founder of Girls on the Run Vermont. “We are pleased to have Erin and Sam’s professional expertise, as well as their personal commitment to health and wellness for Vermont’s girls.”

Girls on the Run invites the community to experience their mission of empowering Vermont’s girls to develop physical, social and emotional well-being during one of three statewide 5k Celebrations. In Southern Vermont at Brattleboro Union High School on May 12th; in Central Vermont at Castleton University on May 19th; and in Northern Vermont at the Essex Fairgrounds on June 2nd.
