Conservation Law Foundation has announced that Carol Gregory is joining the New England environmental advocacy organization as Vice President of Communications and Marketing.
“Carol’s wealth of nonprofit communications and marketing experience—as well as her understanding of current environmental, energy, and climate issues—will greatly benefit our organization as we continue to expand our work advancing solutions that benefit the people and environment of New England,” said John Kassel, president of CLF. “We are thrilled to welcome Carol to the CLF team.”
Gregory brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and broadcast journalism, and has held communications leadership roles in organizations including Greenpeace, YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, and most recently, Amnesty International USA.
During her career in journalism, Gregory earned awards including a Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame Award, American Film and Video Award, Ohio State Achievement of Merit, and other honors for her documentaries and television specials. In recent years, Gregory has turned her attention to elevating the messages of organizations dedicated to issues that matter deeply to her—with environmental protection chief among these.
“Conservation Law Foundation has been at the forefront of the environmental movement. I have been impressed with their visionary and pragmatic approach to protecting New England’s natural treasures—CLF’s pioneering work is a blueprint for the nation to follow,” said Gregory. “I can think of no greater or more meaningful opportunity than to join CLF’s efforts to solve our most pressing environmental challenges, and am looking forward to becoming a New England resident.”
Gregory also served on the Board of Directors for the Audubon Naturalist Society from 2009-2013 and was Chairman of its Communications Advisory Committee. A North Carolina native who is relocating from the Washington, DC, area, Gregory is passionate about documentary and independent films, and enjoys traveling to film festivals.
