Care Manager at Armistead Senior Care earns certification in Teepa Snow's PAC

Armistead Senior Care is pleased to announce that Care Manager Dana Smith is a recognized PAC Certified Independent Trainer. This certification is designed for individuals who wish to learn to train others in Teepa Snow's Positive Approach® to Care (PAC) philosophy providing dementia related awareness, knowledge, and skill development in a group setting. Positive Approach® enhances the life of those living with brain change by focusing on relationships based on authenticity, empowerment, compassion and curiosity. Dana also holds the title of Certified Dementia Care Practitioner. The Certified Dementia Practitioners Council was formed to promote standards of excellence in dementia education to professionals and other caregivers who provide services to dementia clients.

These Certifications, along with her experience in the field, allow Dana to lead training opportunities for the Armistead caregiving staff empowering them to deliver compassionate, high quality, personalized in-home dementia care.
