BBA welcomes Wrightson as Special Projects Manager

The Burlington Business Association (BBA) announced today that, effective 5/8/2017, Derik Wrightson has joined their team as Special Projects Manager. Derik attended Champlain College and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Derik comes from a background of both project and account management, with a passion for community engagement and improvement inspired from his tenure with SeeClickFix. Derik implemented and managed municipal partners on the SeeClickFix platform; he worked with Town/City workers and leadership to increase transparency and efficiency within local governments.

Derik’s work with the BBA will focus on advancing the Downtown Parking & Transportation Management plan. This work is part of the citywide parking initiative approved by Burlington’s City Council in early 2014. The plan’s goals are focused on creating a parking system that is operationally and fiscally efficient, while also delivering great customer service and ensuring downtown businesses can thrive. Derik’s role will focus on bringing private and public stakeholders together to ensure milestones are met and the plan progresses, all while ensuring a transparent and collaborative environment for the citizens of Burlington.

The BBA is a member organization made up of Burlington based businesses that advocates on behalf of Burlington’s business community. Our alliance of more than 260 diverse businesses shares the goal of stewarding and promoting Burlington’s economic vitality.
