ANEW Place welcomes new development & marketing director

ANEW Place has announced the addition of Michelle Omo, who has recently joined our team as Development & Marketing Director. Michelle’s role is instrumental in building support for and raising awareness of the ANEW Place mission and its holistic 4-phase transitional programs for homeless adults. As a newer resident of Burlington’s Old North End, Michelle recently worked for 150 Cherry St. Inc. and served in many capacities with their farm, restaurant, and ministry room. Michelle is excited about the programs and services that ANEW Place offers and has welcomed the opportunity to be a part of an organization where, in her own words, “Each person matters, each person is loved, and each person is guided by a program tailored for them and their specific circumstances. ANEW takes each person’s story and weaves love, hope, and practical guidance into their individual stories.” Originally from Texas, Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in Communications and brings a background of marketing, communications, and event planning. Through her involvement with 150 Cherry St. Inc., Michelle was able to regularly interact with the homeless community, hear their stories and truly see them, not just their circumstances. “We’re thrilled to welcome Michelle to our leadership team at ANEW Place,” says Valerie Brosseau, Executive Director. “Her compassion for those in need, enthusiasm for our innovative approach to addressing the issue of homelessness, and her commitment to mobilize community members, makes her a perfect fit for this key role.”
