The Vermont Teddy Bear Company grows with additions to their team

The Vermont Teddy Bear Company is experiencing an exciting period of growth thanks to the continued success of their existing brands and the addition of a new sister company at the beginning of their last fiscal year. This has allowed them to expand their team and on-board some of the top talent in their respective fields, all of whom are poised to take the company to the next level.

The Vermont Teddy Bear Company is proud to announce the following additions to their team:

Bob Miller – Product Safety and Compliance Manager. Bob recently moved back to the US after spending 18 years living in China where he worked as a Quality and Manufacturing Consultant. Prior to that, Bob spent 10 years working his way up the ranks at Gund. This is when Bob discovered his passion for teddy bears! Bob’s career experience is an invaluable asset to the company’s ever-growing business.

Penley Danles - Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Penley comes to Teddy Bear from an accounting firm in New Hampshire and brings with him an extensive accounting and analysis background. A numbers expert, his contributions to the company’s financial reporting and forecasting will play a key part in their continued success.

Mike Buttimer - Accounting Manager. A St. Michael’s College graduate, Mike joins The Vermont Teddy Bear Co. after working his way up within a public accounting firm in New Hampshire. As Accounting Manager, Mike is responsible for guiding the accounting department through the company’s rapid period of growth.

Jason Whipple – Retail Store Manager. Jason returns home to Vermont after 10+ years in California. He most recently managed a mid-century vintage furniture store where he helped establish their first retail location, trained and supervised staff, and owned the day to day operations. Jason’s approach to customer service and proven ability to lead are vital assets to the continued success of the retail bear business.

Stefan Bachofen - Bear Brand Manager. Stefan brings over ten years of business development, marketing and leadership experience to the Bear Brand. His previous roles as a Business Broker and Valuator with Country Business Inc. and General Manager of Cheese and Wine Traders have equipped Stefan with a well-rounded skill set to expand the Bear Brand's impact to wider audiences.

Glenn Griesser - Director of Operations. Glenn joins the team with over 20 years of high-level leadership experience, serving most recently as Director of Operations at Main Street Project Services and Regional VP of Sales & Operations at Usherwood. Additionally, Glenn worked for 11+ years at SymQuest as Regional Director of Sales. His wealth of knowledge and leadership abilities will be vital to the company’s operations team as they continue their upward momentum.

Stacey Fillion - Offshore Production Manager. Stacey has filled a variety of roles in the supply chain process, giving her the insight and experience necessary to take the lead on the company’s offshore production. Joining Vermont Teddy Bear most recently from Commando and Country Home Products, Stacey is a communication and relationship expert and will be instrumental in the company’s expansion and future success.

Ashlie Malouin – Apparel Design Manager. Ashlie joins the Product Development Team from Ski the East as their Senior Apparel Designer and Developer. Prior to that, she designed for brands like DKNY Sport, Donna Karan Active, and Reebok. At The Vermont Teddy Bear Company, Ashlie will be responsible for design development of products for the brand's sister companies: PajamaGram, Addison Meadow, and PajamaJeans.
