VEIC announces staff appointments

Erin Carroll, director, consultative services at Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC) has announced a number of staff appointments designed to position VEIC as an effective partner for organizations committed to developing innovative energy solutions.
Appointments include:

• Nikki Kuhn, Manager of Emerging Savings Opportunities, Consulting Department
• Emily Levin, Manager of Program Support, Consulting Department
• Adam Sherman, Manager of Energy Planning, Consulting Department
• Chris Badger, Senior Consultant, Emerging Technologies, Consulting Department
Christine Donovan, in her new role, focuses on developing opportunities to match VEIC’s expertise with the energy efficiency, renewables and transportation efficiency needs of state, federal, municipal, utility and industry clients. Christine’s 25 years of experience, includes founding and managing her own renewable energy consulting firm and nearly a decade of service on the VEIC Board of Directors.
Rebecca Foster’s more than 12 years of project management experience and proven track-record of launching new, innovative initiatives position her well to lead the Consulting Department. Prior to joining VEIC in 2011, Rebecca led the residential sector initiatives at the Consortium for Energy Efficiency.
In her new role as Principal Consultant, Elizabeth Chant will continue to bring her 20 years’ experience to the design of initiatives that reduce the energy cost burden for low-income individuals and the organizations that serve them.
Peter Adamczyk’s work on financing and financial markets bridges the gap between capital markets and sustainable energy. He joined VEIC in 2009 after 23 years of investment and finance experience with Fortune 100 companies.
Nikki Kuhn’s team helps clients develop and execute innovative projects that have a significant potential to impact the market and reduce energy use such as green energy benefits, zero net energy construction, and behavior change initiatives. Nikki’s 15 years’ experience in energy efficiency design, evaluation and implementation includes managing federal, state, and utility energy efficiency programs for low income households in Colorado.
Emily Levin brings ten years of experience in efficiency program design and delivery, including leading strategic planning and residential programs for Efficiency Vermont. Her team helps clients plan and review energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, develop TRMs, and design innovative energy efficiency programs.
Adam Sherman’s Energy Planning group focuses on total energy and climate change, including regulatory and policy support, system level analysis, biomass energy, and community energy strategic planning. Adam has over a decade of experience in the renewable energy field, having worked with a wide range of public and private sector clients throughout North America to evaluate and implement sustainable energy strategies.
Chris Badger’s focus on emerging technologies reflects VEIC’s investment and leadership in new technologies such as advanced clothes dryers, smart thermostats, and air-source heat pumps. Chris joined VEIC in 2008, bringing more than 10 years of product and system development experience in the renewable and combined heat and power markets.
