Ron Lumbra, a partner in the CEO and board practice at New York City-based Heidrick & Struggles, has been re-elected to a fifth one-year term as chair of the University of Vermont Board of Trustees.
The board also appointed three new members: Matthew Devost, co-founder and CEO of the Virginia-based global strategic advisory firm OODA; R. Stanton Dodge, chief legal officer at DraftKings; and Jennifer Ha, who succeeds Kenny Nguyen as student trustee.
Lumbra, who is scheduled to serve on the board until March 2028, is a 1983 mechanical engineering graduate of UVM and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to his current position at Hendrick & Struggles, he served as managing partner of the firm’s Centers of Excellence and, before that, as regional leader of the Americas region.
Devost, in addition to his position at OODA, is founder of the Hack Factory start-up studio in Reston, Virginia. He is a graduate of Saint Michael's College and holds a master's in political science from UVM. His board term will expire in March 2030.
Dodge is a 1990 accounting graduate of UVM and earned a law degree, magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School. Prior to DraftKings, he served as executive vice president and general counsel at DISH Network. His board term will expire in March 2030.
Ha, a clinical psychology Ph.D. candidate, will serve on the board for a two-year term.
