Shelburne Eyeworks owner Sally Elkins has announced the sale of her business to employees Greg and Sheila Guilmartin. As an independent optical shop, Shelburne Eyeworks has been providing quality eyewear with attentive, personal service for 25 years. The Guilmartins are licensed Opticians with decades of optical experience and a commitment to providing customers the best vision possible using today’s newest lens technology. The Guilmartins plan to add new product lines and American-made frame collections and will enhance the web presence for customer convenience. Business broker Lynne Silva of The Silva Group structured the transaction terms and facilitated the ownership transition. Steve Densham of the Vermont Small Business Development Center assisted the Guilmartins in developing their ownership plan.
