Jennifer Gordon, LICSW recently joined the Montpelier Health Center as their Clinical Social Worker, part of an integrative health team.
She received her Masters of Social Work degree (MSW) from Fordham University and her B.A. in Journalism from Northeastern University. Jennifer completed a primary practicum in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York. She also completed an internship at UMass Medical Center at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare and Society where she was trained to teach and facilitate Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction classes.
Jennifer worked as a teacher's aide in New Jersey at a school for children with autism where she did Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She was also the director of a hospital based intensive outpatient program where she developed a coping and social skills based treatment curriculum for people struggling with substance use disorders.
For the last seven years, as Co-Founder of The Vermont Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in South Burlington, she focused on delivering evidence-based treatment for a wide range of psychological problems.
