The board of the Friends of Waterbury Reservoir (FWRes) is pleased to announce that Steve Brownlee, owner of Umiak Outfitters on S Main St in Stowe, was elected to the board as a member at large. Long-time board member Chuck Kletecka was elected as Treasurer.
"I am grateful that Chuck stepped up as Treasurer," FWRes President John Bauer said, "He has been a strong advocate for the reservoir for many years and understands the need for careful fiscal responsibility."
"Steve has been a committed environmental steward all his life and will also bring a business owner's perspective to the board," Bauer said.
There are two open seats on the board. People interested should contact FWRes, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to protecting, improving and enhancing the ecological, recreational, and community values of the Waterbury Reservoir, by email at [email protected] or through their website, www.friendsofwaterburyres.org. Elections will be held in early April.
