NextCapital, the leading enterprise digital advice provider, today announced its new office in Burlington, Vermont.
The new Burlington office reflects NextCapital’s robust growth and intent to attract top software engineers and web developers in the Vermont region -- including Vermont's colleges and universities. The office will be led by Rob Foregger, co-founder of the firm, who is a Vermont entrepreneur and UVM alumnus.
“NextCapital develops software that is reinventing how people plan, save and invest for retirement -- this is a $14 trillion market impacting more than 100 million Americans.” said Mr. Foregger, co-founder of NextCapital. “We think the importance of our mission will attract top software talent to our Vermont office.”
In partnership with large financial services companies, NextCapital helps bring financial advice to all Americans with an integrated platform that delivers automated personal financial advice -- including holistic planning, savings advice, and portfolio management.
“Since its initial investment in 2014, the Vermont Seed Capital Fund has been proud to support NextCapital, and optimistic about the large number of high-paying jobs that they can bring to Vermont,” said David Bradbury, President of the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET), which manages the Vermont Seed Fund. “NextCapital is at the forefront of a massive market and regulatory change occurring in the investment management industry.”
After recently raising $16 million in Series B financing, NextCapital has stated that the infusion of new capital will be used to grow the business and help accelerate the expansion of its digital advice platform.
U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) echoes Mr. Bradbury’s excitement. “NextCapital fits the company profile we need to bring to Vermont-- high opportunity technology jobs with an important mission. This is a great example of how early stage investments can be a job multiplier for the Vermont economy. We welcome NextCapital to Burlington and look forward to driving more high-tech jobs to Vermont.”
