Ken Pidgeon, chairman of the board of directors at Engineers Construction Inc. in Williston, has been named 2025 Vermont Engineer of the Year by the National Society of Professional Engineers. He accepted the honor at the Engineers Week Banquet in South Burlington in late March.
Pidgeon is a former co-owner, president and CEO at ECI, one of the leading heavy civil contractors in the Vermont. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont and holds a master's degree in civil engineering, with a concentration in geotechnical engineering, from the University of New Hampshire.
“I am honored and humbled to be your Vermont 2025 Engineer of the Year," Pidgeon said during his acceptance speech. "As I look around the room, and at the list of previous Engineers of the Year, I see [those] who have inspired me to be a better engineer and a better person.”
