Dunkiel Saunders announces new partner and welcomes two new attorneys to the practice

Burlington-based law firm Dunkiel Saunders Elliott Raubvogel & Hand, PLLC is proud to announce that Karen Tyler has become a partner in the firm and welcomes attorneys Drew Kervick and Kelly Lowry to the team. Focusing primarily on environmental, energy, health care, intellectual property, municipal, telecommunications, nonprofit, affordable housing and business law, the attorneys at Dunkiel Saunders are committed to helping their clients make a difference in their communities. Tyler, Kervick, and Lowry have strong records of dedication to their clients and embody the firm’s core mission and values.

Tyler joined Dunkiel Saunders in 2006 and is an experienced litigator who focuses on civil and regulatory matters. In her practice, Karen works with clients in the areas of health care, municipal, business and nonprofit law. She has a proven record of assisting clients navigate complex permitting and regulatory compliance issues. Karen also handles employment and commercial disputes and works with non-profit organizations on all facets of starting, managing, and maintaining mission-driven organizations. She currently serves as a board member of the Vermont Bar Foundation.

Before joining the firm in 2014, Kervick worked at prominent law firms in Burlington and Boston as a business and health care attorney, and he previously clerked for Justice John Dooley of the Vermont Supreme Court. At Dunkiel Saunders, Kervick will focus on business, health care, and affordable housing law, supporting the firm’s expanding work in those areas. A native of Addison County, Drew is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue developing his practice here in his home state and looks forward to working closely with clients who are focused on improving the lives of Vermonters and strengthening their communities.

Lowry joined Dunkiel Saunders in late 2013 and brings with him almost twenty years of experience working on state and federal environmental matters, multi-state business ventures, and complex commercial transactions. Kelly is returning to Vermont after working for a private firm in South Carolina for ten years where, among other matters, he served as outside counsel for the State of South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, working on environmental regulatory enforcement and compliance matters. Prior to that position, he served as general counsel for the Vermont Natural Resources Council in Montpelier, Vermont. At Dunkiel Saunders, Kelly will focus on business and commercial transactions, community development, affordable housing, and environmental regulatory matters.
