Rick Milliken, General Manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington has announced that Jennifer Bober, Sales & Catering Coordinator, has been selected as 2011 Employee of the Year. She joined the hotel in 2007 as a Front Desk Agent and was promoted to the sales department in 2008 where she is responsible for small group catering functions as well as coordinating the hotel’s social media, vanity and brand websites, and lead the hotel’s participation in the recent rebranding of the hotel’s name and Hilton logo. She is president of the hotel’s national award-winning CARE Committee and Green Team.
Bober received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Western New England University. She volunteers with Spectrum Youth Services, COTS, and organizes the hotel’s shampoo donation program for several community groups. She received the South Burlington Rotary Club’s Exemplary Employee Award and DoubleTree’s Spirit of Care Award in 2009. She was nominated for Vermont Business Magazine’s “rising star” award in 2011.
