Waterman named assignment manager and TV news producer

WCAX-TV has announced that Scott Waterman has been named the news station's assignment manager and special projects producer. A veteran of the WCAX-TV newsroom, Waterman has worked as a photographer and co-producer for 16 years. His story telling skills have won numerous awards including recognition from the National Press Photographers Association and the Associated Press.

WCAX-TV News Director Anson Tebbetts said, “Scott has brought us stories from just about every corner of our viewing area, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Quebec. We are delighted to have Scott's experience and news judgment leading our assignment desk.”

Waterman, who recently co-produced a number of news broadcasts from various communities as part of Channel 3's series “People, Places and Politics.” said, “I have always felt it critical to put myself in the viewer's shoes when reporting a story. That strong commitment will continue in my new role.”

Waterman, a Shelburne native, is a graduate of Champlain Valley Union and Champlain College.
