Trapp Family Lodge executive named Stowe Business Person of the Year

Walter Frame, executive vice president and director of the Trapp Family Lodge, was named the Stowe Area Association's Stowe Business Person of the Year at the group's annual meeting and dinner at the lodge on June 14.

The award recognizes an SAA member in good standing who is involved in the community with town projects or sits on a town board; is an ambassador of Stowe; and is involved in the tourism industry. Frame has served on the boards of Copley Hospital, the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center, the Stowe Land Trust and the Vermont Business Roundtable; helps manage the daily activities at Trapp Family Lodge; is active with the Stowe Area Association; and serves as a founding director of the Vermont Lodging Association.

“I’m happy to be considered for this honor. There are many wonderful leaders in our community, which I’m proud to be part of, including members of our active board of directors who are passionate about Stowe,” said Frame. “I have gained new friends through SAA mixer events and have also learned that the Stowe community is collaborative in that we all care for the success of the community first, and then our individual business success will be a result of this community-first effort.”

Established in 1945, Stowe Area Association is a member-based destination marketing organization with the primary purpose to promote the Stowe region as a vibrant, world-class destination.
