The annual Gallery in the Garden art show and silent auction at the Senator Justin S. Morrill State Historic Site in Strafford this year includes house tours highlighting the senator’s personal art collection. The centerpiece of the tour is the newly restored portrait of Justin Morrill by Constantino Brumidi, on loan from the Morrill Memorial & Harris Library.

Bidding starts at 5:30 p.m. on “Minis for Morrill,” miniature paintings by artists of regional and national reputation.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Friends of the Morrill Homestead.
