Otter Creek Engineering (OCE), a civil/environmental consulting engineering firm, today announced the promotion of Brent F. Rakowski, P.E. to Vice President and equity partner. Brent will continue to serve in his existing capacity as a senior project engineer while also taking on a leadership role within the firm to aide in the mentorship and development of our staff.
“Brent has been an integral part of our success for more than seventeen years, and we were thrilled to promote him to this important position,” said Jason Larocque, president of OCE.
Mr. Rakowski joined the company in 2004 as Senior Project Engineer. His professional career, since 1995, has focused on the design, permitting and construction of site development projects. Prior to his work with Otter Creek Engineering, Brent worked for design firms in Burlington, Vermont; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Aspen, Colorado, where land development, infrastructure rehabilitation, and stormwater improvement projects were his primary focus.
Mr. Rakowski received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University. He is the Chair of the City of Vergennes Development Review Board and Vice Chair of the Addison County Regional Planning Transportation Advisory Committee. He lives in Vergennes with his wife and four children. In his free time, Brent enjoys hiking and mountain biking, and in the winter, ice hockey and downhill skiing.
