Michael R. Tuttle, President and CEO of Merchants Bank, today announced the promotion of Geoffrey R. Hesslink to the office of Executive Vice President. Mr. Hesslink leads the Commercial, Government and Business Banking Division and is Senior Lender.
“I am pleased to announce this very well-deserved promotion and recognition of Geoff's many significant contributions to Merchants Bank over the past 15 years. We are all very fortunate to have him as part of the Merchants Bank team,” commented Mr. Tuttle.
Mr. Hesslink joined Merchants Bank in 1995 and was promoted to the position of Commercial Banking Officer in 1996. In 2005 Merchants Bank's Board of Directors appointed him to the office of Senior Vice President and Senior Lender, effective on January 1, 2006.
Mr. Hesslink graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration-finance from the University of Vermont in 1987. He completed a management-training program at Manufacturer's Hanover Trust Company, Inc. in 1989.
